Estiah PC problem

I have a weird problem that only happens on one desktop of mine. When I go to load the gears (gears page) quite often I get a not responding (frozen browser) message. I have no other problems with the pc.

The computer isn't new, but not that old either. It came with windows vista and had the same problems. I recently update to vista 64 (clean install) and have the same problems.

My PC: Intel core 2 Duo E6500 (2.33ghz)
4gb ra,
win 7 64 bit
firefox 3.16.16 (might upgrade this to the new version)

Any thoughts on what is causing this or solutions?

Try disabling greasemonkey and reloading. If the problems go away, then it is one of your GM scripts - the more scripts you have running and the more data you save in allinone, the slower it is. The fix would be to upgrade FF (4 is faster), prune your allinone savings, and disable any non-necessary GM scripts running on that page.

I really didn't have any allinone data because it always hung up so I never used it. At one point I disable all the gm scripts and i still had the issue. The funny thing is that this is the only pc I have a problem on.

I upgraded to Firefox 5.0.1 and updated flash and it seems to be working fine now. Weird.

Had the same problem on an old ( 10 years ) laptop running linux/firefox 3 ( I think ) Bought a new one, its fine..
