They've been releasing a bunch of art, which is lovely but not very interesting. Over the last few days they've released little tidbits about gameplay: http://twitter.com/Estiah2/

In Estiah 2, battles will not be turn-based. This will lead to one of the most meaningful gameplay change.

In Estiah 2, each gathering type is unique and on a whole new level of complexity and fun.

In Estiah 2, the way you fight monsters will very often impact the loot you get

In Estiah 2, PvP will cost no AP and will be unlimited.

In Estiah 2, players will fight using *two* decks at the same time.

The story of Estiah 2 begins approximatively 120 years after the end of the Chronicles (which have not been fully published yet)

When released, Estiah 2 will be available in at least 3 different languages, including Chinese.

Here's another tidbit:

There will be 6 end-tier classes in Estiah 2, each mastering several runes. Less choices, but so much more depth!

I'm glad they're taking their time to get it right!

They've been working on the website of late. It looks like they have the last tier classes up here. Berserker, Destroyer, Nightslayer, Runewarden, Soulreaper, Vindicator.

Berserkers will focus on Axe, Spear, Fist and Willpower. Destroyers will focus on Shadow, Lightning, Fire and Buff. Nightslayers will focus on Sword, Twinblades, Lightning and Debuff. Runewardens will focus on Spear, Frost, Spirit and Ward. Soulreapers will focus on Earth, Shadow, Spirit and Summon. Vindicators will focus on Mace, Holy, Armor, Ward and Buff. At least, this is what I'm perceiving from the website. I do not have a beta key.

Talking to some beta players, the biggest changes I can see are as follows:

• Game is no longer asynchronous, meaning to team up with others, you've got to be on at the same time.
  
• Fighting is no longer passively clicking "fight" and hoping to get a good rune order, but actively choosing stuff.
  
• The game is less text based - instead it is silverlight based (like flash) - so automation & greasemonkey scripts are going to be tough to write or disappear completely.
  
• Only one main account, later alts can't be used in the coliseum.
  
• Coliseum wins get you "points" to buy packs with new charms, so it will be more like duels as far as drops go, and players will have access to different charm sets
  
• Charms earned in coliseum can't be used in dungeons & vice versa

Pretty disappointing if you ask me.

What I want to know is are they scrapping Estiah 1 when this rolls out? Another game quitting on me as I get into it will just about finish my online game playing, I'll go play LotR or WoW.

Nope, it'll stick around, but get updated less frequently. Still, I'm guessing it'll be a ghost town. Here it is, straight from the horse's mouth:

How much new content do you plan to give us in E1 before releasing E2? I know that it depends mainly on some players' creativity etc, but do you plan to add (where "add" probably means: "choose to spend some time improving E1 instead of E2") new mechanic(s), series of charms, cool epics, well-hidden events?

I can't speak for three months down the line, but we should have some new e1 content in the next few days.

I wouldn't say the next few days... since I'm leaving on vacations before the end of the week :
But yes, Estiah 1 will still live, even though updates will be a little less frequent.
