Solace of Solitude (Skyrift l. 48)
Fight 1: There is probably a nice way to do this, but I just punched through with aura & project (example). This is tricky because the youngling restores the mountain yeti, and buffs the matriarch. The mountain yeti won't do damage if you've got armor, so you must always have some. Freezing swipe is a nasty bane, and you'll need some cleanse.
Fight 2: The gargoyle cleanses - so banes & ongoing debuffs are out - does 60 magic & melee damage each round, has unlimited spirit, and 3200 armor, ward, and HP. Ideas?

I really don't know how to do fight 2 the right way - i guess you need to do something to trigger "of the mountain". I know some people do it through auras (mostly defensive auras + aura extenders + a few offensive auras), i do something similar through summons but i guess that wouldn't work for any other class.
Fight 3 - It seems the easiest way is to get the deathless sentinel and the pack of wolves fast before the pack leader rises. I use a battle dance + spears gear here, and that's quite enough to get this done fast. I guess as an alternative it could be done by shortdecking it, but really it isn't hard, i'm actually tweaking my gear to play worse and see if i can get the achievement.
Fight 4 - You "allies" actually give a lot of positive effects on your opponent, so the way to do this easy is to get enough armor on yourself so your allies are targeted. The way i do it using, again, a variation of battle dance + spears, which is a nice way to gain cumulative armor without slowing down your offense.
Destroying their armor via Cataclysm could also help.
It should be noted that you shouldn't use buff runes, and auras might bite you in the ass if you get a lot of them on you (one charm your opponent uses hits you with 1 spi for each aura), but you can still use some if you don't overdo it.

Re: Solace of Solitude (Skyrift l. 48)
I finished this dungeon a little days ago,but I was too busy to write the tips, sorry for being so late....
Seems the "right way" of fight 2 is clear its ward and armor?I tryed but it was too hard,so I just used Aura-Projection deck - the main charms are Crystal of the Dawn and Pure Vita Earrings, and then lots of + aura charms, especially defense type(for Vita earrings).
My example was:
Pyric Charge x5
Prismatic Charge x5
Pure Vita Earrings x5
Glyph of Protection x3
Crystal of the Dawn x5
Glyph of Warding x3
Lawful Will x5
The Jaw of Thallios x5
Crystalline Ice x5
Microgyne Refractor x5
Appeasing Balm x5
Golem's Heart x2
Trailblazer x5
Star Gauntlets x2
Emblem of Support x5
Black Pearl Ring x1
Fight 3 was easy, just rush,or if you want the achievement you can try to kill them all.
Fight 4...Flame Recoil helps a lot,my deck was
Mach Fist x5
Grand Hoplon x5
Nerman's Defender x5
Accoutrement of Misery x4
Blood Aegis x5
Flame Recoil x5
Crystal of the Dawn x5
Subjugate x5
Strength in Numbers x5
Slash and Thrust x5
Corrupted Fireblade x5
Sonic Blade x5
Void Bolt x5
By the way,how to hide the deck and show them after a click?Just like others did in other posts.

- Spoiler:
- Spoiler tags. So you'd surround the deck with the words spoiler in brackets on either end with a slash on the closing bracket just ahead of the word.
Like this without the accent: [spóiler] [/spóiler]
In fight 2, I have to say accoutrement of misery + trailblazer + and hailstorm, chaos gloves, or moonshine work really well.
- Spoiler:
- Also, great work on getting guides up for this guys!

5 Jaw of Thallios are enough to take out half the armor and half the ward, I think I'll try something with those once I get there.

Re: Solace of Solitude (Skyrift l. 48)
Finally got a deck to get this done without breaking the jars:
http://wl.attrib.org/estiah/replay/56eb87ab
It's a bit more ellaborate than i first thought, but the rewards are great: Heartstring jerky is a consumable that gives you +2 pow (special), and gray matter is used in crafting some great charms in Gaea's.

Ok, i wanted to do a few more tries to see if the gear didn't need any more tweaking. You need a pretty good gear, as there is a lot of stuff you should be doing at the same time.
Mostly, i'm using an aura based gear, so you need to generate willpower (as you get hit every few turns with 1 spi for each aura). Also, as your offensive will be slow you need to slow the opponent down, use a few aura reducers (staff of decay mostly) plus a lot of summon reducers. Another thing that makes this hard is that you can't use buff rune (it will purge you), so goodbye charms like lawful will that would really help you. The positive note is that there is a hidden effect, that for each summon on you you get -1 to summons AND +1 to auras, so a few long summons can really help you.
Here´s the gear i'm using, i'm sure there's a lot of room for improvement, but int is my dump stat so i'm only just now farming some of the good holy charms.

Has anyone figured out the "Of The Mountain" effect in fight two? I've had no luck.

The "Battle Dance + Spear" deck of Chaofan is a simple way to succeed on fight 4, if you are not worried about not breaking the jars. Here is an example:
- Spoiler:
- Selected gear: 44/67 charms
Battle Dance x4
Slash and Thrust x5
Maul of the Indefatigable x5
Niflungar Lance x1
Winged Lance x2
Plated Javelin x5
Bull-Faced Banner x3
Hyphused Piercer x5
Honor Thrust x5
Glorious Lance x4
Niflungar Spear x5

Heart String Jerky apparently does NOT count towards your daily food intake? Is it dropped when you defeat fight 4 without breaking the jars? With Power being 1 of my 2 lagging stats that could be a really good thing to get every time I pass through.

I think the most direct and best way to go about fight 4 is summons that attach to the target and ardent abominations. All those summons get extended indefinitely, so a few noxious injectors and crypt crawlers and you can call it a day.

Cemetery Stalker? Also, Corona Blast & Thunderwave can be good once you get a few SiS wins to craft them.Tabernacle wrote:[A] few ... crypt crawlers ...

Re: Solace of Solitude (Skyrift l. 48)
We've got some good examples of decks for most of the fights, but not the first fight. I've found the first fight is easiest with projection & auras + break focus. I have also done it while keeping a minimum armor - enough the yeti doesn't hit but not so much that freezing swipe is devastating - but it is far less reliable. I haven't lost with this deck yet:
- Spoiler:
- Selected gear: 51/66 charms
Aura Cumul Armor/Ward
Pyric Charge x5
Golem's Heart x5
Prismatic Charge x5 - probably not necessary
Pure Elixir x5 - probably not necessary, you'll have plenty of ward
Aura Extension
Lawful Will x5 - the cumul armor is nice too
Crystalline Ice x5 - biggest extender around
Appeasing Balm x5 - the cleanse is a nice bonus
Aura Projection
Pure Vita Earrings x5 - debuff helps too
Crystal of the Dawn x5 - obvious choice
Break Focus
Poisonous Fog x5 - the damage isn't important, the break focus is

Re: Solace of Solitude (Skyrift l. 48)
I got a decent fight 4 gear that clears without killing any jars and doesn't have a lot of the fancy stuff in chaofan's gear.
Spotted Ichor from Scorching Sands is awesome for this fight. The hermit extends his auras pretty much indefinitely, so it works like an infinite duration bane.

Crystal of the Dawn x5
Searing Halo x5
Claws of Dark Wisdom x5
Phoenix Offspring x5
Lesser Summoning x5
Banishment x5
Winter Celebration x5
Pacify x5

Word of Solitude x3
Dragon Aegis x3
Spotted Ichor x5
Pyric Charge x2

Re: Solace of Solitude (Skyrift l. 48)
Is heartstring jerky supposed to be an autodrop when you don't break the jars? I'm assuming it either isn't or I did something wrong.
http://wl.attrib.org/estiah/replay/373b1e7e
And in case anyone is wondering, I just took Ogo's deck and used the charms that I had. It worked first try.
Edit; Apparently heartstring jerky is not an autodrop, according to the estiah forums its around 1/5

If you destroy both the armor and ward it loses 3200 in health.
