Lab 746 - Experiment #5701 360 HP 39 spirit - Barrier x5, Howl x5, Mind Focus x3, Spirituality x2, no First Strike or Premeditation

My first attack, which failed, was spirit. Penetration and willpower work best.

The monsters don't actually reset. They just keep cycling through the clock. My first kill is on its second cycle already.

This means the competition is designed to give you a little more than two tries at every monster. So it is in your best interest to uncover and defeat as many as possible, and not waste time on those that are not possible.

This is different than what was proposed in the forum.

I don't understand what you mean by the monster cycling? I thought you could only get 1 monster ear from each monster over the tourney. By the way, as of yesterday there were only 4 undefeated monsters.

I think he means that the clock just keeps ticking but the monster never resets. Which means you only can get one ear per monster like you said, that's also how I understood things from the contest thread.

Lab 734 - 360 HP 52 spirit: harden x2, strongblast x5, infusionx4 (then I killed it). Just outpace it. Not hard to do since it has such low HP.

Lab 736 - 1800 HP 64 spirit: cleans, wall, strong blast, strong blow. Tanking with lots of stuns worked fine. (win 2 tries)

Lab 739 - 930 HP 33 spirit: first strike: soul shield, strong blastx3, infusionx5, mirror, titan repeat. (lost 1 try)

Lab 740 - 1500 HP 60 spirit: blast, high blast, strong blast, infusion, spell steal (random). Can maybe be tanked, but Faen couldn't do it.

Lab 741 - 780 HP 32 spirit: first strike: soul shield, infusionx5, absorb repeat (lost 1 try)

Lab 746 - 360 HP 39 spirit: howl, barrier, mindfocus. Just kill it quick. (win 2 tries)

Lab 752 - 1050 HP 55 spirit: infusion, strong blast, spell steal, titan (random order). (lost 2 tries, 1 magic tanking, 1 melee short deck)

Lab 754 - 1320 HP: first strike: soul shield, infusionx3, spellsteal, strong blastx2, titan repeat. (lost 1 try)

Lab 755 - 930 HP 36 spirit - first strike: soul shield, body glyphs, infusionx4, spellsteal, mana drain, disarm, repeat (can't quite tank it, lost 2 tries)
Lab 759 - Exp 5714: 1680 HP 33 spirit - infusionx5, mirror, strongblastx5 repeat. (lose 2 tries)

Lab 765 - 840 HP 33 spirit: first strike: retribution, soul shield, infusionx3, titan, purge, spellsteal, disarm, blastx2 repeat. Can be beaten with short deck magic tanking (won 2 tries)

Lab 766 - 1470 HP 36 spirit: infusion, spellsteal (random order) The first time I went up against it I got like 6 infusions in a row and no spell steals so I tried bursting it with magic double and triple hits, but then it pulled a bunch of spell steals so no go.

Lab 768 - 870 HP 39 spirit: first strike: soul shield, wall, infusionx5, absorb, strong blastx2. Managed to clear it with an ultra short magic burst deck. Icespikes, blazing inferno, void volt, howl of agol, guidance of homan, pyro sigil, thunder of colith. Needed to get the order right, so it took 4 tries but I did it. (won 4 tries).
Lab 771 - 360 HP 50 spirit: venom, strong blast, strong blow, assault, double claw, absorb, barrier, titan, grey eye (random order). Tanking almost got him down, but not quite. Best I did was 8 spirit left. (lost 3 tries)

Lab 774 - 480 HP 45 spirit: soul shield, howlx4, absorb, howl (then i killed it). Really easy to take down with a quick damage deck. Has no defense and low life. (win 1 try)

Lab 776 - Exp 5731: 900 HP 27 spirit - first strike: soul shield, afflictionx4, spinx3, cry, repeat. Need cleanse to beat this one. (lose 1 try)

Lab 779 - Exp 5734: 1380 HP 60 spirit - concentration, wall, high blast, strong blast. Can be tanked pretty easily by focusing on ward and antimagic charms. (win 2 tries)

Lab 777 - Exp 5732: 1200 HP, 30 spirit - first strike: soul shield, mind focus, growlx2, cryx2, howlx2, affliction, purge, repeat. Can be willtanked without too much difficulty. (win 2 tries)

Lab 782 - Exp 5737: 300 HP 48 spirit - first strike: soul shield, titanx3, crystal skinx2, mirror, strong blow, blow, assault, blast, blast repeat. Impossible to kill with damage due to 3 titans, really hard to spirit due to tons of willpower, really hard to tank due to massive CPB...not sure how to approach this one. (lost 1 try)

Lab 784 - Exp 5739: 390 HP 30 spirit - parry, chargex3, strong blowx3, titanx2, mirrorx2, double clawx3 repeat once. Can be armor tanked easily (purge/normalize helps). (win 2 tries)

Lab 787 - 330 HP 40 spirit - first strike: cry, howl, harden, barrier (random order). Easy to take down with a damage deck. (win 1 try)

Faen has beaten 23 monsters so far and has 84 action points left. Overall, not bad for a first run through.

Lab 772 falls to the spirit-willpower-summon deck!

Lab 783 is susceptible to a ward and debuff deck; yay tanks!

Lab 764 falls to a spirit deck with drug inhibitors and last stand!

Lab 741 also falls to a spirit deck with drug inhibitors and last stand; I like this deck!

Lab 784 did not require my spirit deck, but it worked all the same!

Lab 780 - Experiment #5735 360 HP 42 spirit - Soul Shield, Charge, Strong Blow, Titan, Double Claw x2, Disarm, Spirituality x5, Premeditation, First Strike

Defeated with armor, debuff, melee immunity, and some conversion of ward into an defense against melee. So, a tank!

We should maybe try to figure out what hasn't been killed yet by us.

Lab 759 - Experiment #5714 - 1680 HP, 33 spirit - Heavy on Infusions and Strong Blast, Spirituality x2, no First Strike or Premeditation

Spirit deck with drug inhibitors and last stand kill this too.

This must be added to the list, but while its focus is obvious I did not get to see which steal charm it intended to use.

So far, I have killed 23 monsters and have a 75 points in Spirit Breaker.

Only Lab 753 remains to uncover ...

We should figure out which ones our guild has personally hit. We could either start with someone listing those they haven't found or defeated, and then the next person starting with that list and eliminating those they have, or we could list those we have defeated and build on that. One list will automatically give what we need to kill, and one will give us its compliment. Opinions on which is better.

Be careful with Lab 774; it has Titans, but they are few.

Lab 779 is defeated by a little spirit, a lot of ward and debuff, and whatever else was lying around.

Lab 734 is just a question of outpacing its magic, which is very easy!

Lab 743 killed by armor, last stand, drug inhibitor, spirit, and summons.

47 monsters found, 27 killed, and 210 points remaining; I may try to figure out what hasn't been killed with our existing logs.

Perhaps we should be more organized next time!

We also should have thought about saving the replays externally so that all could access them without being limited to the 5.
