Statues (Night Tear level 46, 47, 48)

[Tabernacle]

Statue of Illusions, Lies, and Discord are three 3-man dungeons with some nice drops including an epic and some interesting strategy requirements. Unlike the 4-man dungeons, you absolutely CANNOT do these with a semipublic or public group.

The gimmick: If you play a rune any of your allies have played, you die. Period. Your "ally," accursed fog, plays a tech charm that has this effect, so nobody can play tech rune. The other runes need to be divided up between the three group members so that nobody shares a rune and everybody can do something against the enemy.

You've got a 5000 Hp enemy that does massive melee damage and revives a bunch of useless allies to distract you every three turns. He vanishes also, so focus is no good. The roles for this fight typically go as follows:

Summon/AoE
Job is to kill the illusions so your damage dealer hits the main guy. Runes: summon, usually fire, maybe some other runes that overlap with the summons. You can't run sealing orbs (tech), but Deflagration works here. Though high damage summons are preferred, what really matters is a large number of damaging summons to keep the illusions dead.

DPS
Kill the statue. Runes: all melee weapons, buff.
Standard melee gear. Run a ton of hyphused, some double hits, release karma, maybe some extra actions.

Tank
Pull protect and play as much armor as possible. If capable of decreasing auras, that's also a good inclusion. Runes: armor, ward (for the good armor/ward charms), possibly some other runes that support tanking.

This guy has 8000 hp and does ridiculous amounts of damage, melee and magic. Luckily, you have a 3000 Hp ally to help protect you. He stuns the player with the most spirit indefinitely, so you want to make sure the damage dealer comes in with the fewest charms in case the pillar goes down. The roles are typically distributed like this:

DPS
Same as illusions. Runes: all melee and buff.

Debuff
anything with -ongoing or -to next, plus some banes like persistent disease. Runes: debuff, shaow, etc.

Reserve tank
Needs to have the most spirit. Runes: armor, ward. Run an intermediate amount of protect to swap damage with the pillar and a lot of cumulative/aura based defense. Takes the stun if the pillar dies.

Don't even think about Hp damage, you have to use spirit. It starts with 160 willpower in addition to its 72 spirit, and it does a nasty spirit attack on your lowest spirited member every few turns, and buffs its own spirit damage. It also pulls out some ridiculous projection if you let it get armor up. As usual, three roles you have to fill to win.

Willtank
Eat the spirit hits. Runes: willpower, armor, ward, holy. Needs to have the lowest spirit so he takes the hits. protect isn't required since the statue autotargets lowest spirit, but you want some so you can get Jade Earrings to go off. Run as much cumulative willpower as possible.

Spiriter
Kill the statue. Runes: Debuff, Spirit, Shadow, usually takes buff also. Run heavy willpower destruction- Nightmare, Voodoo Head, Mind Piercer (make sure nobody else has spear), etc. DON'T run Soul Cry since it self spirits you. May need to run Crown of Prestige depending on your group.

Armor Destruction
Stop the projection. Runes: melee runes. check with other members first to avoid overlap. standard do melee damage gear. May need to run Siren's Songs or Evil Crusher to help debuff the statue.

All listings of runes above are just suggestions, make sure you work this out with your group beforehand since some people take different things. For instance, I take lightning in all of my tank gears and spirit in my Discord tank gear.

Sorry about the wall of text here, but these dungeons are tough and even good groups go down occasionally. At some point people are going to want to run this, and now's as good a time to start a topic as any. With all that said, I would suggest asking for groups around the guild or on IRC because you really can't just start one without a lot of preparation, and the drops are good enough that you'll want to spend a lot of time there. Hope this is helpful in some way.

I just cleared Revival of the Fury with Kaervaak and Faen, that was pretty exciting. It's the toughest of the 4 man dungeons.
Got nifanglar (?) spear for faen which is a pretty nice CPB charm and corrupted fire blade for kaervaak which is a really sweet double hit sword charm with melee drain.

i haven't been checking them that often because it seemed you were only setting
up one a day.

I usually set up one about 2-3 hours before daily reset (9am my time) and right after reset (usually within an hour of reset). I'm a lot less reliable about this on weekends though.

you should look into farming the jade charms from cry of the earth for a good tank at 42+

Maralyth's willtanking isn't great, so she needs everything that she can possibly get that gives cumulative willpower. How many charms can Azazael bring to the fight with lies? Still only 53 or can he do more now?

I have semaphos set up for melee on lies. 54 charms and i used below to determine which runes i could use.

Spirit: Kaervaak - Spirit, debuff (63 charms)
Tank: Maralyth - Willpower, armor, ward, fist, lightning, shadow, buff (59 charms ATM)

Ah, the party is totally different from last time. My characters that are available are my summon and paladin. Summoner will do summons on illusions, but his dex is too low to run effective debuff or spirit gears. Faen can't do those roles either since his power is too low. Can sema do debuff or spirit?
If you can't run debuff, the summoner might be able to swing it.

You need to take out facemelt, the debuffs and anything with willpower runes. Add a bunch of voodoo heads and nightmares if you have them. Do you have robes of majesty? those are great for this.

Faen uses lots of AOE willpower, so stuff like hand of the lich and aura of darkness can be pretty good for this fight.
