Part 9: So you're almost Level 20 Empty Part 9: So you're almost Level 20

Post by Howie Feltersnatch March 1st 2010, 1:17 pm

Welcome back for our next installment in the adventures of XXXXXXX. As I
previously stated, I'm almost level 20, so it's time to head off to
another city and a higher level dungeon. At level 19, we're going to
spend some time around the upper reaches and bounce around between
Gaea's Dawn, Windscar and Eclis. Once I hit level 20, I should have my
stats straight and be able to take my scout class right away.
Conveniently for me, Scout hall is in Eclis and I'll be heading that
way anyway. For any other classes, you should be prepared to interrupt
your dungeon delving and move to your T1 home city, where you'll be
buying your first class based weapons - woo hoo!

MOVE RESET - Time to switch it up!

Well, Based on guild need, I changed up my plan just a little bit. I
raided the mine after reset and then did a normal move to Wildhowl to
pick up a few Ley wood for the next few days build. At 20 points each
plus 5 skill points in Build, how could I not. Then I decided I could
wait until later to go to Lumina and used my job to move to Gaea's Dawn
(GD from now on). Once there, I settled on in and raided the l19
Crystal Valley. I've only finished the first 3 of 4 fights so far and
just used my normal PvP deck, nothing special (and not my skill building
deck).

RESET

Raided Crystal Valley. Worked a job that added Condernser R1 and some
stat points I needed. I am very close to level 20 and only 1 stat point
away from my stat requirement for my T1 class of Scout.

RESET

Did the valley, did some mining to start building that collector skill,
sold off some crap, used my move to go to Lumina to craft more PvP
weapons. I made Warrior's Mace x5 and Warrior's Power Staff x2.

I only need 6 more stat points to hit level 20 so I need to start
heading to Eclis today. I wish my Horse Riding R2 was close enough to
leveling so that would put me over, but I'm only at 100/180 and that's
not enough to do the job today. So I think I will use my move to go to
GD and raid the valley and then use my job to hit Eclis so I'll be there
when I turn l20.

RESET

Used my move to return to GD then raided the valley. Will save my job
to move to Eclis tomorrow after I raid the valley again. I will
probably do some more mining later tonight.

RESET

Raided valley. Mined a little bit. Used job to move to Eclis.

RESET

Used job to make my stats and level up to 20. Visited the Scout hall
and took my T1 class - Woo hoo! Visited the scout Armory to buy the
level 20 Spear and Ice scout weapons x5 each. Broke now. Just for
grins, did the first 3 fights of the level 21 dungeon "The Game"
successfully but failed on F4 - Man, that's a tough fight! Out of AP
now. Will stay here until later tonight so I can PvP some level 20 plus
dudes in Eclis and Windsacr after I move.

This will be the final installment in my guide. At this point, you
should know what you need to do. Continue doing dungeons of an
appropriate level unless you need to farm a specific item, remember to
visit your class shops periodically to obtain charms of the appropriate
levels (20, 23, 27). Continue to level your skills, especially those
required for your class path plus courage and heroism. Continue
crafting PvP weapons for the best items available at each appropriate
level and when possible, try to craft them ahead of time so when you hit
that level they are available to you immediately. Also remember to
keep increasing your trade skills by gathering at the highest level
possible at your level. At some point, you will need the farmed items
for crafting other stuff in the city crafting shops. Keep notes of
items and requirements for crafts you want.

When you reach level 30, take your T2 class and repeat everything you've
learned. T2 class items are available at levels 30, 33 and 37. You
should be able to meet all of your T3 class requirements except stats by
level 35. It is also important to start saving gold and trying the
trials before you reach level 40 if you can. This way, when you hit
level 40, you will be able to purchase all of your T3 class charms for
level 40. Refer to the wiki if you are unsure of what these are.
