Re: The Murder of the Prelex
Yeah, I can help with this.
Fight 1: You and Zeal Teleporter Network against a bunch of monks
The goal of this fight is to do just enough damage to the disgraced monk so that he dies after the teleporter network exhausts itself. The network's last charm does 6K damage to the reinforcements. Before that, anyone you kill will be revived at 100%. So you don't want to do too much damage, otherwise the monks will just keep coming back.
There's a hidden mechanic in this fight where summon charms cause the disgraced to get stunned if you play a summon after the network uses advantage.
So basically, you just need to tank (mostly melee) and tweak your deck so you kill the disgraced after the network exhausts.
Also, having charms that revive the network are great since it will kill the disgraced after it gets revived. Restore faith and salamath's judgement are great includes.
This fight is really hard. Even with great decks, you're still at the mercy of the RNG devil here.
Key charms here are trailblazer, strike and magebane poison. Trailblazer combos with Code of Honor to give both players 10 WP and 50 heal. Strike combos with celestial sword to make celestial strike which gives a group cleanse (key because blight is a long duration spirit bane) and magebane poison cripples the priestess.
My usual tactics here actual use a few charms from a higher level dungeon that is easier to clear (lair of the artificer). I like to use banes and projection for this since the priest purges (sadness). Summons are out because the priestess puts a nasty summon on you which you absolutely do not want to extend. I really like to use poisonous fog and microgyne refractor in this fight.
Usually, the best bet is to kill the priest (spirit user) first and cripple the priestess with magebane poisons.
The key to this fight is combos and life loss. The shade loses 160 life from using contempt of fellowship if you've played a combo in the last 6 or so rounds. You want to short deck this. Combos are the same as the second fight, strike, trailblazer and the 25K crafts (like blade of betrayal, abyss, infusion of light). You can also include some other combos if you want like vita banishments. Next, you want some life loss charms like metal melt. I usually run about 25-30 charms for this fight.
Fight 4: You and Djin vs Rya'baal
Again, combos are the path to victory. This fight is extra crazy because there are combos that are triggered by other combos. You really really want to trigger the celestial strike combo combo in this fight because it let's you get through his armor. CPB doesn't work because rya'baal purges and gets 45 armor/ward per turn, so focus on debuffing, triggering combos and life loss charms. Taking away his auras helps too.

Re: The Murder of the Prelex
Sure thing, here are a few other Fight 2 decks. You can also do it with projection or cpb magic. The decks are maybe 20% reliable, so less than banes, but still plenty to blow through with a few tries. The trick is enough focus to knock off one guy fast. If you can get the spirit guy first, before he purges you too much or kills your spirit, then you're golden.MeDeFe wrote:lessig, how about a banedeck for people who are NOT Inquisitors?

Re: The Murder of the Prelex
Does anyone have any hints regarding how to get the achievement?
The closest I've gotten so far to winning fight 4 without triggering a combo was by using banes, but Sign of Algorab may be necessary unless you're a Slayer and can purge the ongoing +magic. Is there another way that might work that I'm missing?

So banes it is... Poisoner's Pride is another charm I can't use yet, though.
