Coliseum - anyone play it?

Has anyone actually won Coliseum matches? I haven't tried a lot, but the few times I have, I got smashed. Anyone had any success, or tips they could share?

The only value in winning seems to be the increased PvP cap, some weird items, and a few skill points - noneo of which are all that attractive to me. What is the draw?

I've been using public parties, but I figure it be better to know your partner ahead of time. Anyone want to pair up with any of my guys?

The thing with colliseums is that you wont be able to dodge the high HP people so unless you are a part of this category you are inevitably going to get owned. Iv been quite successful lately as I got it together with my alt for 2v2 and I got some basic amount of HP for 1v1, but still 2270 rating isnt anything spectacular given that there are ppl with 3k+.

To compare with duels, basicaly colliseums = ladder.

I tried a few....You really need to have high HP it seems to win or even be competitive, although i think you could do really well in 2x2 if you coordinate well.

And to that effect, the way lessig and quizy work in guild battles, you two might want to give it a shot.

Yeah, me too, doing the tablet thing with all chars and on my way there I'm leveling extreme [gathering] and so on.

I'm stuck in Lumina trying to discover the cave there. So kind of killing 2 birds with one stone, leveling gathering + working on the quest. Most of my guys aren't quite ready for the quest yet though.

The discovery of quest caves is either on the first try or never. If it doesnt show up then you dont have the needed tablet or item.

Does it need to be done in order? Because i have whats needed (R___ _____d according to your "Lumina - gathering with R___ ___d > Ca__ __ ________ _____t > Light Tablet"

But i didn't do the two above it on the list yet. I just figure out what i needed and where i needed to go and mapped out the quickest route to finish it.
