Best way to earn gold?

I'm pretty hard up for gold on my alt, and I've been trying to figure out where my main gets gold from.

Initially I thought I'd just gather wood and sell it. Now I think the arena seems to be better.

What do you guys do for gold?

I gather and sell for gold. Once you are level 1 in something an can collect as an apprentice level you get better stuff.

Well, levelling cheat death and spirituality (you kinda have to use arena for both), getting the 500g from sewer cleaner and selling stuff from the dungeon is what I do for gold.

has anyone done some testing on buying and selling items from different cities? they all have different exchange rates, so it would be good to know how viable it would be to be somewhat of a merchant.

You can't really profit.
1)City buys less than it sells, to the point where you won't profit more than 1-6gold per unit.
2)Unit cap of 100
3)Limited movement (mitigated by teleport scrolls)
