Auctions...

It seems to me that charms always go for way too much in auctions. Level 30ish charms often go for over 30k, level 40ish charms go for much more. It seems much easier to just craft these charms than earn all that gold for them.

Does anyone buy things on auction? I've never won one, so I don't know if winning gives skill points or something that people are really after.

I look at a few shortly after i started, but have more or less forgotten about them until now.

Sometimes you get such an overflow of gold on your alts that 30k seems like nothing.
At that point, you want to improve your charms.

I remember bidding something obscene for a melee aura action which I almost never used.

I read somewhere that at endgame gold is really important and rare. Dunno why, though.

Towards the upper echelon of arena fights, you get about 500 gold per win. At level 39 mobs, I get 320+

I've heard the same, I suspect it is because stuff is more expensive. Lots of level 40+ crafts are 10k each. Then you've also got a potion habit to feed...
