Farming up Busterbros: The project
I decided to make this a group project, with TJ doing most of the work with some guidance from the peanut gallery (us).
So how the heck am I supposed to get heroism (or TJ) on busterbros. He is at level 50 and has 30/100. Same for charm alchemist, 0/100. The charms also seem poorly farmed, but has finished all the gathering skills except extreme herbalist.
I would think the first step would be to get better weapons. Hyphused ones are really important, as are the assassin class charms (especially finishing move) and slash and thrust. no worries about hitting level 51 anytime soon so might as well start using potions as well! Dex and Intel, avoid the other 2.
I blew through a bunch of AP on ext. herbalist so that he wasn't sitting at the 1200 cap.

Haha, Loengrin part 2. Well, you made it work with him.
I had the same problem with charm alchemist at level 50. You can get the first level in the arena with grimox or kyud's stuff. The last two levels you can get in Murder with Trialblazer. Murder will also be an opportunity for Leadership. Here is some more about that.
I think there is only one place you can get heroism at 50, and it isn't pretty. It'll be a long time before he can do that, it is most of the way through the Kysin questline. I'd recommend not doing potions unless his stats are too low to use useful charms.

At 83/500 I don't see a reason to not use potions. Most of his skills are farmed up (except for the HP ones: Leader, defender, charm alc., heroism). Especially since I don't see one being used every day since there isn't a ton of GHP to use and movements are going to be more for dungeons than to craft elixers.

So step 1, mostly for slash and thrust, but also because this is where we were at.
Hit up Soul Harvesters Lab and Shudder from the Depths. They give decent drops and have some important crafts.
While mainly being in Wildhowl, we will also make some trips to Lumina to finish collecting the vita ban charms (And see if we can make it through Unearth Horrors and Burdens of Faith while there).
I haven't checked, but with Treasure Hunter at 20/260 we can probably also find some doable 4 and 5 star sites to go through.

I have decks made out for soul harvest. Use the default melee for fights 1 and 2, then for the others use the gear label harvest F3 and harvest F4. The gear for shudder is also set up. Shudder Vita or something like that. Let me know if you need anything. Throw up a screen shot in the thread if needed so others can follow along too.

Once you have the charms for it you can easily level CA up to rank 2 in Hatred, just use any combo over level 30 in the last two fights.

Those lost 2 fights will also get you leadership and defender points. So use strike + flame or ice whatever they ares for the combo?!

Still learning the ropes but he is really lacking in charms. Concentrating on getting charms from Wildhowl/Skyrift for the time being, should be a week or so doing those. Any MUST HAVE charms feel free to list them and I'll start working on them next I figure the skills can wait just a bit until I can be more diverse with my decks ( but I feel free to say if I'm wrong )

Well, you really can't work on skills yet since you wouldn't be able to beat the dungeons. Thats a good plan, don't forget the 4 & 5 mark exploration sites in those cities. If you have extra AP, which is doubtful since you are farming 2 cities, you can work on extreme herbalist in wildhowl.

Re: Farming up Busterbros: The project
Picked up Finishing Move x 5 and a few others, working on Treasure Hunter whislt zipping around. Whats the likelyhood of Buster being useful in Last Echo of Thunder? Could do with Release Karma whislt working on other skills.
Had to trim some of the inventory, needed some room to collect items for other charms ( Cripple etc )

OK scrub that, need to farm some charms. While I'm here can someone explain why you use Woeful's Whip ( even with the combo ) ?

For charm alchemist R3 in Last Echo, some other dungeons where there is no armor used and a bad spirit deck.

But why in Last Echo? Infinite spirit mob, I'm sure I'm missin something that is probably very obvious

Ah I get you now, potentially 420 shifting damage without willpower destroyed
Looks like its down to Eversweep for Woeful's whip, Dynamite charms are next door too I think. Third one BDC isnt it?

You can do it that way, with BDC, woeful's, & delayed banes.TheJackal wrote:Looks like its down to Eversweep for Woeful's whip, Dynamite charms are next door too I think. Third one BDC isnt it?
But I think it is easier just to pile on 20 banes doing damage over time and 5 woefuls. Surely BB has hateful flame, venom dart, maxim's special, searing flamberge - or some other crummy banes. It saves doing that Sylan Map dungeon & BBB, both of which drop lousy charms/crafts - stuff you won't be able to use anyhow.

Currently Buster has 1 Woeful, 5 hatefull flames, 5 venom darts, 4 maims special and 3 searing flamberge...
I really wasnt kidding when I said charmwise he was lacking...
It wouldnt be a project if it wasnt difficult, I'll get there but it might not be next week lol

Re: Farming up Busterbros: The project
Once you farm the woeful's, that'll be enough if you have decent teammates. Just pad it up to 25 charms with whatever banes you've got, or voodoo heads if you're really hard up. Too bad you are too high a level to get charm alchemist points at Last Echo.TheJackal wrote:Currently Buster has 1 Woeful, 5 hatefull flames, 5 venom darts, 4 maims special and 3 searing flamberge...
I assume you're doing Last Echo runs for Release Karma or Crystalline Ice? None of the other charms are really useful at higher levels, if your a paladin. I guess Backdraft Flame isn't bad either.
If you are doing it for charm alchemist, I'd farm R1 in the arena with Grimox or Kyud's staffs against Blackhorn Devils or Molten Horrors - one or the other is in every city. R2 & R3 you'll have to do in Murder of Prelex in Zeal with Strikes, Trailblazers, and Abyss if by some miracle you've got it.

Re: Farming up Busterbros: The project
What's the update with BB's project? My assassin is really my crap guy so I can sit him anywhere you need a team mate.
I'm assuming we're starting farming charms from the 30s, so he can do the lvl 40 dungeons? or have we passed this already?
Charms that are MUST HAVE for assassins:
Strike (from Village of Cyneth in Zeal)
Night Cloaks (hopefully he has these as they're an upper 20 charm...if not they're from Escort Chopley in Lumina)
Release Karma (Last Echo)
All the Hyphused from Underground Academy in Skyrift. You can never have too many Hyphused.
Other than that, we're starting to get into specialized charms for defending and such.

But there are a lot of charms that are needed to get through dungeons to get the other charms to get the other charms.
It was bad, he could probably do 1/2 the level 40 dungeons.

Yup, now sitting Eclis doing the first 3 fights of A Cure for Megabane's and any of the defensive charms that drop my way and zipping bewtween Eversweep/Inachis for Treasure Hunter points.
Got Strikes and Night Cloaks ( go Buster go ) and an assortment of Hyphused ( I'll go back later and get the rest ), working towards Release karma next.
