I did this with about 4 mixed defense charms, 4 Seals of the Pure, 20 maces (5 with CPB, 5 with healing), and about 20 EA melee and melee boost charms. Never made it to the Underworld Bond.

Can't help with magic though ...

So I take it you can't take him down, you just out last him then.

Underworld Bond uses one charm before it dies:
Summon: Attach to enemy, +600 to next melee and +600 to next magic after 41 turns

So, if you last 41 turns, your next attack is boosted by 600 or 1200

No, he dies before the summon ever triggers. At the time, I had found it more difficult to survive long enough to use the damage boosts. He has only 1500 HP and a little shifting defense. Frankly, I was worried far more about his offensive capability taking me out than about killing him.

Oh, and when I said that I never made it to "Underworld Bond", I meant it's charm never triggered. I don't believe that summon has a name.

If this is true wouldn't of I had hit hard here.

62 Nepenthe uses [Pyromaniac's Sigil] this is 76 hp
Nepenthe targets King Baralas
King Baralas takes 26 magic damage (42 warded)
Nepenthe is weakened

I have gotten to turn 69, but he just rapes me the whole time

41 of your turns not counting extra actions. I usually found that I hit the boost around turn 86-87.

Of course you should drop all/most EAs, but if you're having exhaustion problems getting there, using self-stun actions will help. Of course if he's killing you, self stun will make it worse. Ongoing debuffs are easier than armor/ward, but either can be done (as tab showed me with a paladin).
